How Solar Works
The solar panels are made up of photovoltaic (PV) cells, which convert sunlight into direct current (DC) electricity throughout the day. Direct current (DC) is supplied into an inverter which converts the power into alternate current (AC). This alternate current (AC) is supplied to a switch board from where the power is transferred into the property. The electricity which has been generated during the day is then used by the property. If there is any excess power remaining, it is sold back to the utility grid.
